Healing Through Music: What I Found in the Jungle at Zamna
🌍 Where I Was
In early January, I flew to Tulum, Mexico, to attend Zamna Festival — one of the world’s most captivating jungle music festivals. We landed on January 2nd and stayed through the 9th, completely immersed in the energy of the festival. Every night, we stayed until the last beat dropped and didn’t leave the venue until around 10 a.m. the next day. We even squeezed in a Zamna beach event during our stay.
✈️ Why I Went
We planned this trip as a getaway to celebrate the new year with joy, music, and movement. I’ve always loved live music, meeting new people, and dancing in spaces that feel both freeing and electric. There’s something beautiful about music festivals — the collective joy, the lights, the sounds, the spontaneity.
😌 My Mindset Before the Trip
Honestly, I was a little nervous. I hadn’t attended many music festivals before, other than ACL, and Zamna felt like a big leap into something unfamiliar. But beneath that nervousness, I was so excited. I knew I was stepping into a space that would shift something in me. I just didn’t realize how much.
🎶 Zamna
Each night brought something new — a sound, a story, a transformation. We danced to the sets of Tale of Us, ARTBAT, CamelPhat, Adriatique, Anyma, Kevin de Vries, and so many others. The jungle pulsed with light and movement. Fog, fire, and visuals filled the air like magic. There were no mirrors, no clocks — just music and motion.
It wasn’t just a party. It was a portal.

🧘🏾♀️
Zamna was everything i wanted. Dancing for hours with strangers in the jungle under neon skies reminded me that life is really about living in the moment and enjoying the process. Whats the point of being stuck in places you're not able to live to the fullest.

I started my year with music, movement, and freedom. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Tulum gave me more than a trip — it gave me clarity, softness, and fire. If you’re looking for a sign to dance your way into healing… this is it.
